This Independence Day, Semper Solaris is honoring their 24th Semper Cares recipient, Jerry Nuanez, for Project X-Ray. Serving in the Marine Corps, Jerry served a tour in Vietnam as a tank crewman, he also did 6 months of temporary duty as Military Police.

Because of Agent Orange, he has unfortunately suffered many health issues along the road. However, this has not slowed him down. He has been a hardworking veteran, raising 3 sons and has been their rock. He has also seen one of his grandsons follow in his footsteps and become a Marine himself. Active in his local community, he coaches youth in Pop Warner football, little league, baseball, and softball. It is with great pride that Semper Solaris donates a brand new HVAC unit to Mr. Nuanez this Independence Day.
